YWAM DTS Akron, Ohio Ministry with Tamar Center Korat Thailand

Thailand is a blessing.  God can use anything to share His truth!
In orientation we were told people may ask ' awkward ' questions, that may seem rude. While we were in Korat working with the Tamar Center,  teaching English, I was asked one of those questions. A young student asked me when I would be able to get fit.  I laughed & thought" Ok! God how do I answer this one?". I felt led to share about the past few years & that I am in the process of loosing weight &  getting healthier after two car accidents & other Health issues with my thyroid &adrenals. God is helping me. I shared how I couldn't walk & was in a wheel chair for a bit, but Jesus has been & is healing me. They were listening...This opened the door to more questions. I was able to share about Jesus, The Gospel & Gods healing power, & how they could know Jesus.  At least 26-28 kids accepted Jesus as their Lord & savior! The local Christians are available to help them grow in their relationship with God & walk on the path of discipleship.  They had one more question ... Jennifer can you jump now? I said yes& jumped for them. We all laughed& jumped together!  I asked them if they feel different & better, they said yes.   I love kids and so does God! he will use anything to share His love with us!

Shout to the Lord
All the Earth, let us sing
Power and majesty
Praise to the King
Mountains bow down
And the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name

DTS Toowoomba Team partnering with Tamar Center Korat

We have spent the past three weeks in Korat serving with the Tamar Centre Korat. It was such a blessing to work with them. We had opportunities to serve at nursing homes, orphanages, and hospitals. As well as ran English teaching camps in the primary schools here, where our team was completely allowed to share the gospel with the students, we played and taught them worship songs, shared our testimonies to them, all in schools with large idols dedicating them to Buddhism. Teaching English to kids of all ages was a huge blessing to us. We saw quite a few kids come to Christ, and in addition to that the love of these kids was amazing. They all loved us no matter what. The teachers and board members were so welcoming of us in their schools, and every school we went to their staff worked extremely hard to make sure we were comfortable. Another weekly part of the schedule was going into a nearby village, playing with the kids and sharing our testimonies to the people there, this was an amazing and eye opening experience for a lot of people on our team. It was amazing to see how God used us to bless these people. Our time in Korat was amazing, and a huge thanks goes to the people at the Tamar Centre! They are amazing!

Kwamwang (Hope) Kids Club

Kwamwang (Hope) Kids Club

Motto: "Work Hard, Be Disciplined and Love God"

Its our joy to introduce Kwamwang (Hope) Kids Club members. We have been going to Non Ta Ko village for 3 years and have known these kids from when they were very young and as we prayed we felt God leading us to start a kids club. A club where they learn not only about God but we also help them in their studies, build their character and teach them dignity of labour. We have named the kids club as Kwamwang (Hope) Kids Club because we want to bring hope to children at risk. We will be having many activities and social works and competitions too. Keep on checking our blog for more updates of fun-crazy pictures about our club. Here are our kids club members

We would request you to pray for these kids for they are the future of their village. Or if you would like to make a commitment to pray for a kid for one year it would really encourage us. All we are asking from you is to pray and let us wait and see what God will do through these kids.

Cat Fish Project

It was an exciting day for us as we started the Cat Fish Project with 500 catfish as the first batch at Ban Non Te Surin (Waew's Village). God has been good to us all these time and these 500 cat fish are not on their own so let them grow up with your prayers and we believe it will help the family to sustain and earn some income from this catfish project. God Bless!
It all started this way
